War Memorial 100th Anniversary Re-dedication Service (POSTPONED UFN)

There will be a short service led by Rev Henry Curran to re-dedicate the War Memorial in the Town Centre at 10.55pm. The War Memorial was designed by Sir Edward Guy Dawber ARA and unveiled by Lord Redesdale on 26th March 1921. The 100th anniversary actually fell on 26th March 2021 but with the pandemic and lockdowns still in place, as with most parishes, the ceremony was postponed until as many people who wished to be present could attend, making it the 101st anniversary! The Town Council wish to invite all residents, clubs & societies, businesses and visitors to commemorate the anniversary.
