Clerk / Proper Officer / Responsible Financial Officer

Salary grade SCP 32-35 (currently £36,371-39,571)      Full-Time (37 hours per week)

Location – Town Office, Moreton-in-Marsh with flexibility for home working when possible.

 

This historic Cotswold town of Moreton-in-Marsh with approximately 2700 residences is seeking applicants for the post of Town Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer.

You will have a proven record in administration and financial management with experience of managing a small team. You will be required to attend evening Town Council meetings and other meetings as needed. This may involve some weekend work during the year.

 

Competence in IT is essential, with knowledge of website administration. The role will involve the management of large projects and the preparation of reports and funding applications for the Council. You will need excellent inter-personal skills to work successfully with external organisations, Councillors, and our community. Ideally you should possess the CiLCA (Certificate in Local Council Administration) qualification, but this can also be covered by training during the first 12 months if necessary.
