Remembrance Parade and Service
Remembrance Sunday 8th November 2020
Following the Government announcement of a month long lockdown from Thursday 5th November Moreton in Marsh Town Council is encouraging residents to stay at home.
Parishioners may wish to observe a two minutes silence on their doorstops at 11am on 8th November. This act of remembrance is also taking place in other parishes.
In accordance with Government guidance a small group of representatives from organisations in the town will hold a socially distanced, service at the War Memorial on the 8th November at 11am to represent the wider community. The event will be livestreamed on the Town Council’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/moretoninmarshtowncouncil. The order of service can be downloaded here Remembrance Order of Service.pdf. Residents are invited to visit the War Memorial and pay their own respects when they can later in the day and week.
If you attend the service social distancing must be observed. We are obliged to take your contact details for Track and Trace. QR codes will be displayed around the carpark. Please do not attend if you are showing Covid-19 symptoms, quarantined, isolating as a close contact or a case or have been advised to do so the by NHS Test and Trace
