Your Town Council Needs You!

Don’t forget the deadline for applications to the Councillor vacancies is Monday July 3rd! Information below:

Moreton-in-Marsh Town Council has three vacancies for new Councillors to join and help deliver the town’s projects and priorities. If you want Moreton to be a better place to live, work and visit, perhaps this is the chance you’ve been looking for.

The vacancies can be filled by co-option rather than election, so all you need to do is fill in an application form and send that to the Clerk of the Town Council. The Town Council will then consider the best three people to join.

Currently, the Town Council is working on a range of projects to improve the town centre, as well as events and improvements across the parish. So if you’ve got skills in project management, commissioning, finance, event management, highways, community support or development management you might be ideal.

But don’t worry if not! As long as you love this town and want to help improve it, you’re welcome to apply and might be an ideal candidate to join this ambitious Council. And we’ll provide training on the basics, and any areas you want to specialise in, so no prior knowledge is required. The Town Council also has professional staff who can help you understand the role and how to be effective.
